Arielle Miller, PhD, PE, is a researcher at Howard University in the Community-Centered, Openness, Research, and Equity (CORE) Futures Lab, conducting research on intersectional gendered equity in STEM academia. She attended Northwestern University, receiving a BA in Physics and her commission in the US Navy in 2003. After serving five years in the Navy, Dr. Miller continued her career in nuclear energy in the private and government sectors where she earned a Masters in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University and her PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Howard University. For the past 20 years, she has worked in the nuclear industry. In 2020, she co-founded the MGAM Scholarship Foundation, a non-profit and scholarship for young Black and African American cis and trans women entering college.
